Here are the regular events on the Redcliffe Peninsula through the year, with the months they usually fall in. Dates change, so confirm on the organiser’s website before you book around them.
Every week: Redcliffe Markets
The Redcliffe Markets run every Sunday on Redcliffe Parade beside the jetty, 8am to 2pm from March to November and 7am to 1pm from December to February, rain or shine. They are organised by Goodwill Projects. Once a year in December there is also a Christmas Twilight Market on Redcliffe Parade.
The year on the peninsula
- April, Anzac Day: a dawn service at Anzac Place on Redcliffe Parade, followed by a march and a mid-morning service, run by Redcliffe RSL.
- June to November, whale season: Brisbane Whale Watching runs cruises from the Redcliffe Jetty.
- July, Jetty 2 Jetty: a fun run along the waterfront from Clontarf through Woody Point, Margate and Redcliffe to Scarborough, with distances from 3 km to a marathon.
- August, Moreton Bay Food + Wine Festival: held on the Woody Point foreshore.
- September, Redcliffe KiteFest: a free two-day kite festival at Pelican Park, Clontarf.
- December, Redcliffe Peninsula Christmas Carols: run by City of Moreton Bay at Clontarf Beach State High School, with fireworks.
Is there a New Year’s Eve fireworks show?
Not on the Redcliffe foreshore. Fireworks are restricted near the shorebird roosts along the peninsula, including the Redcliffe Jetty, Redcliffe Parade and Pelican Park. Check the City of Moreton Bay events page for what is on each year.
